CONDITIONS
ON EARTH
DURING
THESE LAST DAYS
(As revealed by the Lord in His Word.)
(What to Expect; How to Respond)

We are living in “the last time”, “the last days”, “these last times”. Since Christ has come and personally and literally paid for all the sins of all humanity by the sacrifice of Himself on the cross of Calvary and then rose again from the dead we are now in “the last time”, “the last days”, in “these last times”. One day, at the rapture and the resurrection, Jesus will come in the air for all of His children, including His true churches, and this present church age will end.

Those raptured and those resurrected will then be given new glorious bodies and will stand before the judgment seat of Christ, be judged by Him and given eternal rewards based on their works done in their natural bodies during their earthly lives.

On earth, during the time the judgment of the children of God and other events are taking place in heaven, there will be the tribulation, in which the man, antichrist, will rule and be worshipped by many for a short time. Then Jesus will come back to this earth and establish His everlasting kingdom. Jesus will rule all nations of the earth as "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS". He will rule for one thousand years on this earth, then burn it up and create new heavens and a new earth.

We should know what the Lord tells us about the times that we are currently living in and respond to them in a scriptural manner. We should not be surprised, caught off guard, as these things are occurring. The Lord has told us aforetime in His Word. We are to be eagerly anticipating the Lord’s coming for us and taking us home, while we are presently taking the gospel of Christ to the lost in this world. Jesus'coming for us may be closer than we think.

I. Scriptural Proof That We Are in the Last Time, The Last Days, These Last Times:
-“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby know that it is the last time (I John 2:18). This would have been inspired of God and written prior to about 100 A.D.
-“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:” (Acts 2:17). This was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost after Jesus’ resurrection. We have been in “the last days” for many years.
-“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” (Hebrews 1:1, 2). This was over 2,000 years ago, when Jesus was physically upon the earth.
-“But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you” (I Peter 1:19, 20).
-There is ample scriptural proof that today we are in the last days of this present church age.

II. Some of The Conditions in The Last Time, The Last Days, These Last Times, in Which We Are In:
-These conditions are not new. These have been occurring for many years. But the frequency and the intensity of these will continue to increase until the Lord comes. These conditions are like a woman with child and the labor pains she experiences when childbirth is near, the frequency and intensity of the labor pains increase.

(A). I John 2:18 (see above). The spirit of antichrist is present. Liars and deceivers are present today who deny that Jesus is the Christ and deny the Father. There are those that deny that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh (cf. I John 2:22, 4:3; II John 7).

(B). II Timothy 3:1-7:
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. [Perilous: grievous, difficult, dangerous, fierce]
For men shall be
lovers of their own selves, [This explains so much of what we see and hear in this world today. Self-lovers. Selfish. Self-centeredness. This is the very opposite of denying one’s self as the Lord commands. Many are taught today that each person is “Number one”, when actually Jesus is to be Number one (cf. Luke 9:23)]
covetous, [Money-lovers; lovers of silver; (cf. I Timothy 6:9, 10)]
boasters, [braggarts; empty pretender; (cf. Psalm 10:3; James 4:16)]
proud, [arrogant; haughty; self-promoting; (cf. James 4:6; I Peter 5:5)]
blasphemers, [to speak evil of the Lord or of holy things; impious toward God; railers; using the Lord’s name in profanity (cf. Leviticus 24:11-16)]
disobedient to parents, [even children are involved; violates Exodus 20:12; (cf. Ephesians 6:1-3; Colossians 3:20)]
unthankful, [ungrateful; thankless; (cf. Luke 17:12-19; I Thessalonians 5:18)]
unholy, [wicked; not living a separated life unto the Lord; living worldly, carnally]
Without natural affection, [hard-hearted toward kindred; not having affections toward those that they should have; homosexuals]
trucebreakers, [don’t keep their word; covenant- breaker; don’t honor contracts they make, etc.]
false accusers, [slanderer; as the devil]
incontinent, [without self-control over sinful desires, over speech, over behaviour]
fierce, [savage; not tame; wild; behaves as a beast; (cf. II Peter 2:12; Jude 10)]
despisers of those that are good, [Jesus was despised; haters of those who follow the Lord and His truth and are doing good works]
Traitors, [betrayers; those you thought you could trust turn against you]
heady, [headstrong; acting rash; reckless]
highminded, [lifted up in pride; conceited; puffed-up]
lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; [(cf. Matthew 22:37; Mark 12:30)]
Having a form of godliness, [has an outward appearance only, no inward change by the Spirit; has an outward shape without the reality; religious, but not saved (cf. Titus 1:16; I John 2:4)]
but denying the power thereof: [(cf. Romans 1:16; I Corinthians 1:18, 24)]
from such turn away. [this is what our response is to be; a command; God’s children are not to take part in these kinds of lifestyles.]
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, [immorality; living together outside of marriage]
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” [intellectuals; these may have much worldly and/or religious learning and education, multiple degrees, but do not have the indwelling Holy Spirit; they are not saved; (cf. Jude 19; I Corinthians 2:11, 14)]

(C). Matthew 24:4-12, 23-26
“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
and there shall be famines,
and pestilences,
[various diseases]
and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.”

(D). Matthew 24:37 “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
-What were the conditions on earth in the days of Noah?
-“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” (Genesis 6:5). [What do we see and hear today: complaints, gossip, profanity, using the Lord’s name in vain. These all come from the heart of man.]
-“The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth” (Genesis 6:11, 12).
-There was: Evil thoughts; Wickedness; Corruption; Violence. [These are every day occurrences in the present time.]

(E). Luke 17:28-31
“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.”
-What were the conditions on earth in the days of Lot?
-Genesis 13:13 “..wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.” [sodomites; homosexuals]
-Genesis 18:20 “And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;”
-Genesis 19:13, 24, 25, 28
-Ezekiel 16:48-50 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom,
pride,
[this is the root cause of several other sins]
fulness of bread, [they had plenty to eat]
and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, [cf. I Timothy 5:11-14]
neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. [though they had plenty, they did not help, or feed, the poor]
And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.”
-II Peter 2:6 “And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;”
-Jude 7 “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” [cf. Romans 1:24-32].

(F). Daniel 12:4 “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
-Consider the amount of travel that currently goes on all the time around the world. International flights are commonplace. Consider the amount of automobile travel even in just one city.
-Consider the shortening of the knowledge-doubling curve. This can be searched online and there is definitely a trend of rapidly shortening of this curve.

(G). Technologies in the Tribulation (the stage is being set today).
“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six” (Revelation 13:11-18).
-I understand the first beast to be ‘the antichrist’ and the second beast to be ‘the false prophet’.
-The image, some sort of robotic monument or statue, of the antichrist will be given life. It will be able speak. It will be able to cause certain people to be killed.
-Today there are very sophisticated humanoid robots that can ‘think’, speak, show emotions and move accordingly. There are also animal-like robots. Digital technology and robotics are growing fields of study. Other areas of today’s technology research include nanotechnology, artificial intelligence (AI) and much more. This is all in preparation of the time of the tribulation on earth and the ruling of the antichrist.
-Consider even today how much of our lives involve electronic and digital devices: bank cards, credit cards, cell phones, electronic scanners, laptops, computers, internet, etc. Many people pay bills online, order various things online. These are common, ordinary, normal daily events that only a few years ago were unknown. Evidently there is a movement toward a cashless society, one that would use digital money. Many already use their cell phones with certain apps to pay for purchases. Many are paid salaries from their employers by direct deposit (electronically), the government uses direct bank deposits for various payments: SSI; tax refunds, etc.
-Already there are implantable microchips available for animals and humans. This is since at least about 2001. These can be used for health records, social media profiles, and financial information. The UPC [universal product code] is printed on most items so that the item’s descriptions and prices can be scanned. QR codes are used to direct a user directly to a website.
-The antichrist will use many of these technologies for his wicked purposes. There may be even more and different kinds of future technologies developed. There may be things that exist during the tribulation on earth that we do not even know about at this time.

(H). The Condition of the Lord’s Churches
-Many of the members of the Lord’s churches have endured great persecution and death because of their determination to stand for the Lord and His truth. In these last days this will continue to change. Not by all, but probably by many.
-The apostacy, ‘the falling away’: cf. II Thessalonians 2:3. This includes the falling away from the truth, from faithfulness, from steadfastness, from the faith. This will include compromising of the truth. This has to take place within the Lord’s churches since no other body could fall away from something that it didn’t have.
-Consider the church of the Laodiceans (Revelation 3:14- 19). That church may picture the condition, in general, of the Lord’s churches in the last days just prior to the rapture and resurrection. It was worldly, carnal, complacent, self-satisfied, had no spiritual discernment, and was deceived as to its true spiritual condition.
-There will be many false teachers in the last days. “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived” (II Timothy 3:13).
-Jesus warned His church, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” (Matthew 7:15).
-II Corinthians 11:13-15 (the devil has many ministers and they pretend to be ministers of Christ; false apostles came to the Ephesian church (Revelation 2:2)).
-(See also: Matthew 7:21-23); II Timothy 4:1-4 and II Peter 2:1-3).
-The ecumenical movement, whose goal is to unite various religious groups into a harmonious unit. This is setting the stage for a one-world false religious system headed up by the false prophet (Revelation 16:13, 19:20, 20:10). Today this is being fulfilled by local Ministerial Alliances in many towns and cities. These may have various titles such as Christian Ministers Alliance and others.
Another ecumenical group is the Promise Keepers. There are several other organizations, schools and ministries that strive to unite different denominations together. Being a part of one of these groups would be a big step towards compromising the truth, thus, being a part of the apostacy.
-Yet the Lord commands, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty” (II Corinthians 6:14-18). [Every true New Testament church is “the temple of God”. Notice, ‘ye’, which is plural, all of the church members, these are ‘the temple of God’, singular. Many members of one local New Testament church, which is the temple of God. The Lord’s churches are not to be a part of any ecumenical group.]
-Other current ecumenical strategies being used:
-Chrislam: a blending of teachings of Christianity and Islam saying that these are compatible. They are not!
-Getting together of various denominations for singings.
-Having speakers from different denominations for a meeting or conference.
-Having singers from other denominations perform in one of the Lord’s churches.
-Other such things, presented as ‘let’s all worship and praise the Lord’ such as various crusades.
-The rapid trend toward the ‘electronic church’, rather than assembling together as commanded by the Lord.
-Little by little there is the breaking down the denominational barriers, all working toward a one- world false religion, headed up by the false prophet. The belief of many seemingly is that one system of belief is just as good as another. But truth is truth, and truth is narrow!
-The fact that churches are using various Bible versions (ESV, NIV, and others), rather that the KJV. Confusion?

(I). Israel
-This nation is in a constant state of unrest, politically and from its enemies.
-The regathering of the Jews back into the land of Israel was a major fulfillment of Bible prophesy. On May 14, 1948 the state of Israel was declared. It finally was again an independent nation.(See Isaiah 54:7; Jeremiah 23:3; Ezekiel 20:41; Ezekiel 36:24). There will also be a future regathering of the Jews at the end of the tribulation after their persecution by the antichrist.
-The desert in Israel is blossoming: (Our Israeli guide in 1996 said that this was already being fulfilled. Where there had been desert, there were already many fruit tree orchards). Isaiah 35:1, 2 “The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.”
-Peace treaties:
-The Camp David Peace Accord (September 17, 1978). This was a peace agreement between Egypt and Israel. (Remember where Israel had been in bondage for 400 years!).
-The antichrist will produce a peace treaty between Israel and her enemies, but it will not last. I Thessalonians 5:1-3, “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” In the middle of the tribulation the antichrist will break this agreement and attempt to destroy Israel.

(J). The Euphrates River
-“And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. … For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. … And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon” (Revelation 16:12, 14, 16).
-An online search of various news sources will reveal that the Euphrates is already drying up.

Other Current Trends
-Changing weather: Records being set (heat, cold; floods, droughts; multi-million dollars disasters, hurricanes, typhoons, tornados, earthquakes, sink-holes, etc.)
-Global warming (but not from the cause that most attribute it to).
-Increased use and abuse of drugs: alcohol, marijuana, opioid addiction, methamphetamine, fentanyl. Note the words in the scriptures that speak of misuse of drugs: Galatians 5:20 witchcraft (pharmakeia);
Revelation 9:21, 18:23 sorceries (pharmakeia);
Revelation 21:8 sorcerers (pharmakeus);
Revelation 22:15 sorcerers (pharmakos);
These potent drugs can alter a person’s ability to think clearly and make proper choices in speech and conduct and cause many other detrimental effects.
-Birds gathering in Israel. “And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;” (Revelation 19:17). (See also: Ezekiel 39:4, 5, 17-20). An online search will reveal that this is already occurring to some degree.
-Mockers: “How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts” (Jude 18). “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,” (II Peter 3:3). We know that this is happening on a large scale these days. It is seen and heard in the general public, the news media, by some actors, politicians and others.
-“And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand” (Daniel 12:9, 10). [Don’t expect the news media to present news from a Biblical perspective. Don’t expect actors or politicians to defend and present Bible truth. Most of these do not understand.]

SOME OF THE RESPONSES AND ATTITUDES THAT WE SHOULD HAVE DURING THESE LAST DAYS:

-“know” (II Timothy 3:1). Recognize what is going on and be aware of the times we are living in. What the Lord said would come, has come. “Know” this.
-“from such turn away” (II Timothy 3:5). Have no fellowship with false religion and deceivers. We may have to come in contact with these in the world, but we are to have no part with them.
-“be not troubled” (Matthew 24:6; Mark 13:7; John 14:1, 27; II Thessalonians 2:2; I Peter 3:14).
-“believe it not” (Matthew 24:23, 26). If anyone says that here or there is Christ on earth don’t believe him. Jesus will come first in the air at the rapture and the resurrection. At the end of the great Tribulation on earth Jesus does come to this earth in His glory and His power and sets up His everlasting kingdom.
-“be not deceived” (Luke 21:8). “Be sober, be vigilant” (I Peter 5:8). Our adversary, the devil, is very busy seeking whom he may devour. Always be clear thinking, not thinking on the level as this world, but on a Biblical level (proving, testing all things by the scriptures (I Thessalonians 5:21; I John 4:1), be on guard).
-Always be faithful in the things the Lord has taught us from His Word. Always be obedient to the Lord. Be faithful in: prayer, Bible study, assembling together in His church to worship Him, witnessing of Jesus to others. Remember, there are no acceptable excuses.
-Be separate from the world and false religion (II Corinthians 6:17). Don’t be a participant in worldly conduct, behavior, attitude, speech, false religion or in the ecumenical movement.
-“Abstain from all appearance of evil” (I Thessalonians 5:22).
-Remember who members of Jesus’ true New Testament churches are:
-children of God purchased and redeemed by Him with the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 6:19, 20), who have been publicly identified with the triune Godhead through scriptural baptism.
-Ambassadors for Christ (II Corinthians 5:20).
-“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” (I Peter 2:9).
-Strangers and pilgrims on the earth (Hebrews 11:13; I Peter 2:11).
-Citizens of heaven (Philippians 3:20).

-“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (I Corinthians 10:31).
-“Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. ..” (James 5:7). [‘patient’ = faithful endurance].
-Be about doing the work of the Lord. “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord” (I Corinthians 15:58).
-Remember, we will all give an account unto God and be judged for what we say and what we do: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (II Corinthians 5:10).
-We are always to be thankful to the Lord and giving Him thanks. “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (I Thessalonians 5:18).
-We are always to be content (Philippians 4:11; I Timothy 6:8). Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (Hebrews 13:5, 6).
-We are always to be rejoicing in the Lord. “Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. ..” (Philippians 3:1). “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice” (Philippians 4:4).
-We are always to be trusting in the Lord. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil” (Proverbs 3:5-7). (cf. I Timothy 4:10 6:17).
-All that we do, we do because we love the Lord. “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment” (Mark 12:30).

The ONE most important thing for everyone to do is to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as his/her personal Saviour.
I. Realize and understand that you are guilty of sin against God. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23).
II. Repent toward God. Jesus said, “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
III. Believe the gospel of Christ and trust in, believe in, the Lord Jesus Christ. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).
IV. Pray and ask the Lord to forgive you of your sins and to save you. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

[NOTE: For more information on how to be saved, go to our church website and click on "How Can I LIVE FOREVER?", or, click on the Link below, or, contact us by email or phone.]

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

-“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 24:44).

-“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28).

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life” (Revelation 2:10).
